96 Originals: Fairness You Can Verify
Built for trust
At 96, fairness is more than a promise. 96 Originals use a provably fair system to create a verifiable record of each round, giving players a clear way to check the completed result in the game.
Before random values are drawn for a round, the RNG service commits to a hidden server seed by creating its SHA-256 hash. The random values used by the game are derived from that server seed, the round's client seed and incrementing nonces. When the round closes, the server seed is revealed. Its hash must match the earlier commitment.
This commitment-and-reveal process creates a transparent record of the round:
- The server seed is committed before play;
- The client seed is visible and can be changed by the player;
- Tach nonce identifies a random value drawn during the round; and
- The completed result can be checked using the information recorded with the round.
The commitment prevents the server seed from being replaced after the random values have been drawn. The verification flow then checks that the saved round can be reproduced from the recorded PF data.
How to verify a bet
The following example shows the completed-round verification flow in 96.com Mines.
- Open Game Integrity. Select the Game Integrity icon in the game footer.
- Review the seeds. The Seeds tab displays the active client seed, the committed server seed hash and the previously revealed server seed. A new client seed can also be set for the next round.
- Choose a completed bet. Open History, select the round you want to check and press Verify.
- Review the result. The verifier checks that the SHA-256 hash of the revealed server seed matches the saved server seed hash. It then calls backend’s endpoint with the revealed server seed, client seed and saved Mines replay payload.
- Confirm the status. The returned RNG audit, final board and total win are compared with the saved round. If the seed commitment and all saved outcome data match, the panel displays Outcome Verified.

The Seeds tab shows the client seed, committed server seed hash and revealed previous seed.
